Collection: Speyside

The Speyside region is particularly fertile and is located in the heart of Scotland. And even though it is situated in the Highlands, it is not classified as such. It is considered an independent whisky region. Speyside extends along both sides of Scotland's second-largest river – the Spey. The unique thing about this region is that it isn't really one, as it is not defined either politically or geologically. Therefore, there is some debate about exactly how many distilleries belong to it. What can be said is that there are up to 63. Speyside is the largest whisky region in all of Scotland. It boasts a particularly high density of distilleries, with almost 60% of the approximately 100 active distilleries located here. Some of them are even in direct proximity to each other.
