Blair Athol 12 Years Flora and Fauna is an outstanding single malt whisky from Speyside, Scotland. The Blair Athol distillery, founded in the 18th century, has a rich history and is known for its traditional production methods and pursuit of perfection. It has been part of the Diageo group since 1933 and produces whiskies of the highest quality.
The production of Blair Athol 12 Years Flora and Fauna begins with the careful selection of barley grown in the vicinity of the distillery. After malting, it is distilled in traditional copper pot stills and then matures for at least 12 years in selected oak casks before being bottled.
Blair Athol 12 Years Flora and Fauna impresses with its rich aroma of sweet malt notes, accompanied by fruity hints of apples and pears.
On the palate, it presents itself full-bodied with a balanced combination of honey, spices and a slight smokiness.
The finish is long and warming, with a pleasant sweetness and a hint of oak.
