Torabhaig is a young distillery on the Scottish Isle of Skye, founded only in 2017 – yet it has already made a name for itself. As the second legal distillery on the island after Talisker, Torabhaig combines traditional production with modern quality standards. The whiskies of the Legacy Series show how the house style is developing step by step.
The Sound of Sleat is the second edition of the Legacy Series and reflects the maritime-smoky character of the coastal region of Skye. The single malt was distilled from peated barley malt and matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% vol., unchill-filtered and with no added colour, it presents itself as powerful and natural.
Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Fresh smoke, citrus, salty sea air, vanilla, and a hint of hay.

Taste: Balanced with notes of bonfire smoke, sweet malt, herbs, oak, and a slight pepperiness.
