The Tobermory 21 Years Old Oloroso is an exceptionally aged single malt from the Isle of Mull and is one of the most elegant bottlings from the Tobermory Distillery. As the distillery's unpeated variant, it stands for fruitiness, maritime freshness, and depth. With 46.3% vol., non-chill filtered, and no added color, this whisky presents itself in a particularly natural and complex form.
The whisky matured for over 21 years and was intensely shaped by Oloroso sherry casks made of Spanish oak. This type of cask gives it a pronounced depth with dark fruits, nutty aromas, and spicy complexity, while the long aging process ensures additional balance and elegance.
Aroma: Dark dried fruits, raisins, figs, chocolate, nuts, caramel, and fine spices.
Taste: Full-bodied and soft with aromas of plums, toffee, dark chocolate, spices, roasted nuts, and elegant oak.
Finish: Long, warm, and complex with lingering sherry sweetness, spicy depth, and a subtle woody note.
