The name "The Demon’s Share" humorously alludes to the "Angel’s Share" – the portion of rum that evaporates during barrel aging. This bottling combines long maturation with a special wine cask finish.

Maturation & Cask Types

The rum was first aged for 12 years in American oak barrels that previously held Bourbon. Subsequently, it received a finish in Italian Chianti wine casks, which imparted additional notes of red fruits, fine tannins, and elegant spice.
