The Balvenie is a traditional Speyside distillery located in Dufftown, Scotland. Since 1892, it has been producing single malts with artisanal care – from its own barley malting to in-house cask maintenance. Balvenie is known for smooth, balanced whiskies with typical Speyside fruitiness and elegant cask maturation.
The Balvenie 12 Year DoubleWood owes its name to its maturation in two types of casks: first, the whisky was aged in classic ex-bourbon casks, then it received a finish in Oloroso sherry casks. This combination gives it depth, complexity, and a harmonious balance of sweetness and spice.
