The tasting notes are from the September 2013 bottling. The batches are indeed small.

We are adopting the ranking values and taste comparison from the January 2018 bottling. After adoption, the bottlings will go their separate ways.

Tasting 1

Eye: Intense golden-yellow color. Nose: Aromas of vanilla and spices harmonize with bright, sweet rum notes. Palate: Very smooth, sweet, and slightly woody due to maturation in rum casks. Sparkling. Finish: Peat-like with sweet spices and woody undertones. TheFloatingRumShack.com

Tasting 2

Nose: Freshly cut grass with orange blossoms. Pimento, vanilla, apple pie and blackberry unfold. Palate: Spicy and rich with sweet rose petals and lemon pudding. Creamy vanilla with hints of dried herbs and cinnamon. Finish: Floral and herbal with caramel on the finish. Overall: A very flavorful, creamy, spicy, and rich Irish Blended Whiskey.
