The Talisker 10 Year Old is the classic single malt from the Talisker Distillery on the Scottish Isle of Skye. It is considered one of the best-known island whiskies and represents the typical Talisker style: powerful smoke, maritime freshness, and a distinct peppery spice. Bottled at 45.8% vol., this whisky offers a balanced combination of intensity and complexity.
The Talisker 10 Year Old matured entirely in American ex-bourbon oak casks. This cask maturation brings forth vanilla, malty sweetness, and soft woody aromas, which harmonize beautifully with the smoky and maritime notes of the distillate.
Nose: Smoky peat notes, salty sea air, citrus, vanilla, and a characteristic peppery spice.
Taste: Strong and full-bodied with peat smoke, malty sweetness, black pepper, spices, and a hint of citrus fruit.
Finish: Long, warm, and spicy with lingering smoke, maritime saltiness, and a peppery aftertaste.
