The Stauning 10 Years Peat Smoked is a special anniversary bottling celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Stauning Whisky Distillery in Denmark. Stauning is known for its handcrafted single malts, focusing on regional barley, traditional malting, and creative cask selection. This special edition combines ten years of maturation with intense peat smoke notes, reminiscent of classic smoky whiskies—yet with a unique Nordic character.
Aroma: Robust peat smoke, smouldering peat, and campfire combined with sweet vanilla and honey notes, caramel, and a hint of citrus.
Taste: Full-bodied and complex with smoky accents, dark malt, sweet toffee, spices, and subtly oily fruit notes.
Finish: Long, warm, and balanced with lingering smokiness, peppery spice, and soft oak spice.
