This smoky bottling comes from the CORE range of the St-Kilian Distillery in the beautiful Rüdenau in Lower Franconia. The smoky Classic bottling (phenol content 54 ppm), titled "rich & smoky", was distilled with peated Scottish barley malt and impresses with a fruit bouquet of apricots, pears, and bananas. Sweet vanilla and mild peat smoke round off this single malt.

Nose: The captivating fruit bouquet of grilled apricots, juicy pears, and ripe bananas is refined with sweet vanilla and a splash of lime, perfectly complemented by mild peat smoke and enhanced by dry ash notes with cooling mint.
Taste: Full-bodied sweet and fruity with vanilla, apricots, and pears, in harmonious interplay with creamy toffee and delicate peat smoke, which elegantly underlines the warming oak spice with a pinch of white pepper and fresh mint.
Finish: Pleasantly warming with creamy fruit compote and dark toffee, which are long-lastingly underscored by ashy smoke and a subtly dry oak spice.
