The Springbank 100 Proof – 5 Years Old is a powerful bottling from the venerable Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. This distillery is one of the few in Scotland that still carries out all production steps themselves – from malting the barley to bottling. This edition is bottled at 57.1 % vol., which corresponds to the historical 100 Proof measure according to the British system. This makes the whisky particularly intense and aromatic. Furthermore, it is a strictly limited edition, available only in limited quantities.

Maturation & Cask Types

The whisky matured for 5 years in a combination of Bourbon and Sherry casks. The Bourbon casks provide vanilla, malty sweetness, and fresh fruit notes, while the Sherry casks add additional depth with dark fruits and spicy accents.
