The Scarabus Bordeaux Cask Batch Strength Edition is a powerful, limited version of the Scarabus series with a special cask character. After classic maturation in ex-bourbon casks, this single malt received a finish in high-quality Bordeaux Grand Cru wine casks. The Grand Cru finish gives the whisky an elegant fruit depth, while the bottling at cask strength with 57% vol. ensures maximum aroma intensity. Bottled naturally – without chill filtration and without coloring.
Nose: Rich and complex with dark berries, cassis, red grapes, vanilla, toffee, and a spicy oak base.
Palate: Full-bodied and complex with notes of plum compote, ripe cherries, cinnamon, chocolate, sweet oak, and a hint of leather.
Finish: Long and intense with fruity warmth, fine spice notes, and an elegant, slightly tannic-bitter aftertaste.
