The Scarabus 30 Years – Limited Edition No. 2 is an exceptionally rare and matured bottling from the Scarabus series, which traditionally features whiskies from an undisclosed Islay distillery. With 30 years of cask maturation, this edition is among the oldest and most exclusive releases in the range. The long maturation in selected oak casks gives the whisky a remarkably elegant balance of mature peat smoke, sweet depth, and fine wood structure. It was bottled at 43.6% vol., naturally in its natural color and without chill filtration.
Character & Tasting Notes
Aroma: Mature, gentle peat smoke, honey, vanilla, old oak, dried apricots, leather, and a delicate maritime note.
Taste: Silky and complex with an elegant smoky note, toffee, candied fruits, nutty accents, spicy oak, and a hint of dark chocolate.
Finish: Very long, soft, and profound with fine smoke, warm sweetness, and noble wood notes.
