Lindores Abbey Distillery, located in the Scottish Lowlands, has a long tradition and is deeply rooted in the history of whisky. The first whisky in the country was produced here as early as 1494, and today the distillery continues this historical legacy.

The Lindores Single Malt 1494 matures in a combination of Bourbon casks, Sherry butts, and wine barrels. Bourbon casks contribute sweet vanilla and honey notes, Sherry butts add a fruity component, and wine barrels impart a delicate spicy note to the whisky.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: The nose reveals notes of apples and pears, accompanied by vanilla and a hint of honey. A floral undertone completes the bouquet.

Taste: On the palate, a harmonious blend of sweet vanilla, dried fruits, and a light spice emerges.

Finish: The finish is long and smooth, with notes of caramel, oak, and a delicate spicy nuance.
