The Lindores Abbey Distillery "The Exclusive Cask" Muscat Firkin Finish #19/1121 is a special single cask bottling from the historic Lindores Abbey, the birthplace of Scotch whisky. For this limited edition, a rare Muscat firkin cask was chosen – a small cask previously used for sweet Muscat wine. This imparts an intense, aromatic fruitiness to the whisky, as well as floral and honey-sweet notes.
Bottled at 52.0% vol. at natural cask strength (Batch Strength), and of course non-chill filtered and natural color, this Single Malt displays a full, unadulterated range of aromas.
Aroma: Sweet grape notes, honey, blossoms, vanilla, ripe pears, and light spices.
Taste: Smooth yet intense with Muscat wine sweetness, light fruits, honey, caramel, floral nuances, and gentle oak.
Finish: Medium to long, warm, fruity-sweet with fine spice and an elegant herbal note.
