Lindores Abbey Distillery, located in the Scottish Lowlands, has a long tradition and is deeply rooted in the history of whisky. The country's first whisky was produced here as early as 1494, and today the distillery builds on these historical roots.

Aqua Vitae does not mature like a typical whisky, but is made from a selection of botanicals and spices. It is stored in a mixture of bourbon and wine casks.

The botanicals used include cinnamon, nutmeg and a range of dried fruits, which give Aqua Vitae its character.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: The nose reveals notes of fresh apples, spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, and a subtle sweetness of honey and vanilla.

Taste: On the palate, a warming blend of spices, sweet vanilla and fruity notes emerges. The botanicals used provide a pleasant complexity and depth.

Finish: The finish is smooth and warming, with persistent spice notes, a light sweetness, and a hint of fresh fruit.
