The Ledaig 10 Year Old is the smoky variant from the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, representing a powerful, maritime-influenced island whisky. Unlike many other Island whiskies, Ledaig impresses with its intense peat smoke, combined with spicy and fruity notes. Bottled at 46.3% vol., non-chill filtered and natural color, it offers an authentic and expressive taste experience.
The whisky matured predominantly in American ex-bourbon casks, which provide vanilla, malty sweetness, and a soft structure. This cask maturation forms the basis for the distillate's strong, smoky character.
Aroma: Strong peat smoke, maritime notes, black pepper, citrus fruits, and vanilla.
Taste: Intense and full-bodied with smoky malt, spices, sweet toffee, citrus, and a salty sea note.
Finish: Long, smoky, and spicy with lingering peppery heat and maritime freshness.
