Laphroaig Quarter Cask - Islay Single Malt - 48% vol. (0.7 l)

Laphroaig is one of the most famous distilleries on the Scottish island of Islay and is renowned for its strong, peaty whisky with a maritime character. Since 1815, Laphroaig has stood for intense smoke, medicinal notes, and a distinctive style. The Quarter Cask is a special bottling with an innovative maturation concept.

After initial maturation in ex-Bourbon casks, the whisky receives an additional finish in significantly smaller Quarter Casks. These small casks allow for more contact between the whisky and the wood, leading to more intense maturation. The result is a powerful, complex single malt with greater depth and sweetness. Bottled at 48% vol., non-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes:

• Aroma: Strong peat smoke, coconut, vanilla, sweet malt, and a hint of seaweed.

• Taste: Full-bodied and creamy with smoke, oak spice, honey, licorice, and slightly fruity notes.
