The Laphroaig 12 Years Old is a classic single malt from the Scottish island of Islay and is one of the most distinctive representatives of its style. The distillery is famous for its strong, medicinal-smoky character and the salty-maritime notes that make the whisky unmistakable. This 12-year-old whisky matured carefully for a whole decade and was then bottled at 46 % vol. – non-chill filtered and natural, to preserve its full character.
Nose: Intense peat smoke, salty sea air, iodine, seaweed and a hint of vanilla.
Taste: Strong and complex with smoky notes, campfire ash, sweet malt, liquorice and spicy herbs.
Finish: Long, dry and smoky with salty and earthy nuances.
