Lagavulin 16 Year Old 43% vol. 0.7 L - Islay Single Malt

The Lagavulin Distillery is located on the south coast of the Scottish island of Islay and is one of Scotland's most renowned distilleries. Since 1816, it has been producing intense, peaty whisky with maritime influences. The Lagavulin 16 Year Old is the distillery's flagship and is considered a classic among smoky single malts.

It matured for at least 16 years, predominantly in ex-sherry casks, which, in addition to the typical peat smoke, gives it depth, complexity, and a balanced sweetness. Bottled at 43% vol., it is powerful yet well-rounded in taste.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense peat smoke, dried fruits, leather, iodine, and a hint of sweet malt.

• Palate: Full-bodied with intense notes of smoke, dark chocolate, sherry, sea salt, and oak spice.

• Finish: Very long, dry-smoky with lingering spice and a slightly sweet note.
