The Kilchoman Single Malt is a distinctive whisky from the Islay region, impressing with its combination of fruity aromas and intense peat smoke. With an alcohol content of 46% vol and maturation in Bourbon and Sherry casks, this whisky offers a balanced blend of ripe fruits, spices, and smoke. Bottled without coloring or chill filtration, it remains natural and authentic. A whisky that embodies the typical characteristics of Islay.

Produced at Kilchoman Distillery, one of the few independent distilleries on Islay. Kilchoman is known for its artisanal production methods and the use of locally grown barley. The whisky reflects the island's rugged and maritime environment.

The whisky matured in a combination of Bourbon and Sherry casks, which impart its complex range of aromas. With a phenol content of 50 ppm, it offers an intense peat note, accompanied by fruity and spicy aromas.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A complex bouquet with notes of heather, raisins, pear, and orange peel, accompanied by stone fruit, mixed spices, and intense peat smoke.

Taste: The palate is dominated by overripe plums, red cherries, and subtle citrus notes, followed by intense peat smoke, toffee, oak, and dark chocolate. The texture is full-bodied and balanced.

Finish: Long-lasting with a blend of mixed fruit, caramel, cinnamon, and cloves. Added to this are layers of brown sugar, spices, peat smoke, and a lingering sweetness.
