Jameson Black Barrel 0.7 L - Irish Blend

The Jameson Black Barrel is first triple-distilled. It is an Irish blend consisting of Single Irish Pot Still Whiskey and Grain Whiskey. The Black Barrel matures in charred Bourbon barrels.

All Bourbon barrels are charred. The barrels for the Black Barrel are charred again before the Jameson is filled into them. For perfection, the Black Barrel also benefits from Sherry casks.

Tasting 1

Nose: One of the best aroma packages in the current business. Billy detects butterscotch and creaminess with toffee fudge from the grain whiskey, peppery hints from the pot still whiskey, and ripe, juicy fruits like nectarines, apricots, and ripe apples from the Sherry cask maturation. Palate: Billy describes the taste as intense and escalating – the grain whiskey in specially re-fired charred Bourbon barrels demonstrates concentrated spice notes, nuts, and vanilla sweetness, while the pot still whiskey from the Sherry cask adds Sherry fruit notes.
