The Highland Park 18 Years Old – Sky of Orkney is a premium single malt from the historic Highland Park Distillery in the Orkney Islands. With exceptionally long maturation, this whisky showcases the depth, complexity, and balance for which Highland Park is world-renowned. Bottled at 46% vol., non-chill filtered, and with natural color, it presents a rich, harmonious style.
Various cask types are used for maturation, typically American ex-bourbon casks and sherry-seasoned European oak casks. The combination of these wood types ensures a perfect balance of fruity sweetness, spicy sherry notes, fine wood spice, and maritime depth – typical characteristics of the Orkney tradition.
Aroma: Rich bouquet of heather honey, dark berries, vanilla, and toffee, complemented by light spices and a hint of salty sea air.
Taste: Full and complex with aromas of dried fruits, caramel, cinnamon, nuts, chocolate, and fine oak spice; subtle peat and smoke nuances in the background.
