The 12-year-old Glenkinchie is one of the Classic Malts. It is somewhat richer, fuller, and creamier than the 10-year-old.

Tasting

Nose: it smells intensely floral, as if walking through a wild garden. Notes of vanilla and lilies are also present. With time, a slightly roasted aroma joins in, reminiscent of fresh toast. Smelling it again, fresh citrus aromas and a slightly creamy character emerge, bringing to mind a lemon cheesecake. Adding a few drops of water makes this Glenkinchie even creamier.

Palate: on the palate, it is soft and delicate, initially appearing creamy and then shifting to floral notes. The more water added, the more delicate it becomes. In the mid-palate, it is fresh and crisp, and as it flows further down the throat, buttery, creamy aromas develop, reminiscent of a lemon cheesecake.
