This Glenfarclas whisky has matured for 17 years. Like other Glenfarclas whiskies, this one was also aged in sherry casks. It presents a significantly sweeter profile than its 15-year-old sibling and develops complex aromas on the nose.
Tasting Nose: Floral. Heather. Hints of herbs and fresh coriander, dill, parsley. Palate: Nicely fresh. Soothing sweetness. Fresh fleshy fruit. Peach, pear. Develops hints of fresh baked goods. Oak remains, but without overdoing it. Finish: Long, oaky and spicy. Comment: A bundle of interesting aromas in an elegant oaky frame. Martine Nouet, Whisky Magazine
