Located in the heart of the Scottish Speyside, the Glenfarclas Distillery has embodied the essence of traditional whisky production since 1865. The Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a prime example of the craftsmanship of the Grant family, who have run the distillery for six generations.

Using spring water from the Ben Rinnes and malted barley, the distillate is fired in copper pot stills, thus developing its characteristic nature.

Maturation takes place exclusively in carefully selected sherry casks – both American and European oak. This combination promotes the development of deep, fruity, and spicy notes and gives the whisky a natural, golden color without the use of artificial coloring. The 15-year-old Glenfarclas matures in these casks into a particularly full-bodied single malt, known for its balance and rich aroma.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: The aroma opens with an elegant blend of juicy raisins, mixed with a hint of apple, followed by a deep sherry sweetness and a subtle smokiness reminiscent of a warm fireplace.

Taste: On the palate, a richness of flavors unfolds – dark chocolate meets cloves, mixed with orange marmalade and a hint of roasted nuts. The sherry casks contribute clearly discernible notes of dried fruits and a touch of oak spice.

Finish: The finish is long and warming, with a lingering sweetness that blends with spices and leads into a dry, satisfying finale that leaves the palate with a memory of fine sherry tones.
