Glenfarclas 12-year-old Single Malt Whisky comes from one of the few Scottish distilleries that has remained family-owned since its foundation. This independence allows the distillery to maintain the highest quality and the typical character of its whiskies. Glenfarclas is particularly known for maturing its whiskies in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, which also gives the Glenfarclas 12-year-old a unique note.
The Glenfarclas 12-year-old is characterized by its versatility and the balance between sweetness and spiciness. It is an ideal companion for special moments and is highly valued by whisky lovers worldwide. With an alcohol content of 43% vol., it unfolds its full potential best undiluted.
Tasting 1
Amber gold, lovely fruit, oak and sweet sensations are offered. Finish long and flavorful. Glenfarclas
Tasting 2
The color is amber with a greenish shimmer. The nose is full, fresh, spicy and relatively creamy. The palate, drier, reveals licorice, sherry and spicy notes with a hint of peat. The finish is long with hints of licorice and toasted cereals. A very good whisky.
Tasting 3
Nose: a little misleading. Seems to hold back, but up close it's quite strong. Nutty, with a splash of citric acid. Palate: big, persistent, hard toffee. Burnt, peat smoke - hints. Finish: spicy. Ginger. Biscuit. Long, lingering. Comment: convincing. Honest. A first-class whisky. Well rounded. Factual. Michael Jackson, Whisky Magazine
