The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old French Oak Finish from Batch 2 of the Virgin Oak series. This golden bronze malt was initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being re-racked for approximately 18 months into French oak (Quercus Robur) Hogsheads from the Haute-Garonne region. The fine-grained wood was air-dried for 15 months before holding the GlenAllachie Single Malt.
The secondary maturation has added silky tannins, sweet spices, and fruit notes to this delicious, earthy single malt.
Bottled at 48%, natural colour, and non-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Waves of orange peel, heather honey, and gentle spices, followed by caramel, orchard fruits, and mocha.
Taste: Layers of heather honey, mocha, and brittle toffee, with grapefruit, cinnamon, earthy tannins, and ginger notes on the finish.
