The Glen Scotia Double Cask Bordeaux Red Wine Cask Finish is an elegant single malt from the traditional Campbeltown Distillery. After initial maturation in American ex-bourbon casks, this whisky was finished in Bordeaux red wine casks. This finish adds extra fruit, structure, and subtle tannins, combined with Glen Scotia's classic maritime style. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered, and with natural color.
Aroma: Fruity notes of dark berries, cherries, and cassis, accompanied by vanilla, caramel, and a subtle spice.
Taste: Full-bodied with a harmonious combination of red fruits, malt, oak, spices, and elegant red wine tannins.
Finish: Long and elegant with a fruity aftertaste, fine spice, and a gentle oakiness.

Der Glen Scotia Bordeaux ist ein Budget Whisky der absoluten Extraklasse - Preis - Leistung ist unglaublich gut. Man hat hier diesen Lagerfeuer Rauch mit Leder und schmuddeligem Holz - eine tolle Würze und dann gegen Ende legt sich der Rotwein drüber. Das ist ein typischer Glen Scotia NAS aber mit einer richtig tollen Einbindung des Bordeaux Weins. Glen Scotia hat diese Aufgabe hervorragend gemeistert und da der Wein viel leichter ist als Sherry - kommen die tollen dreckigen Noten des Whiskys noch besser zur Geltung. Daher würde ich sagen - der Glen Scotia Bordeaux ist ein echtes Original zu einem unschlagbaren Preis. Absolute Empfehlung.
