The Glen Scotia Double Cask – PX Casks is an expressive single malt from the traditional Glen Scotia Distillery in Campbeltown. This edition combines classic Campbeltown characteristics with a special cask profile: after initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky receives a finish in Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks. This gives it an intense, fruity depth that elegantly complements the distillery's maritime style. It is bottled at 46% vol, non-chill filtered, and with natural color.
Nose: Rich and complex with dark dried fruits, sultanas, figs, caramel, and delicate notes of vanilla and spices.
Palate: Full-bodied and smooth with sherry sweetness, ripe plums, dark chocolate, clove, and a light oak spice.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering sweetness, fine sherry notes, and a subtle salty-maritime aftertaste.
