Glen Scotia Campbeltown Malts Festival 2025 – 9 Year Old – 54.3% vol. – 0.7 litre

This year, the Glen Scotia Distillery is once again presenting its highly popular and limited Festival Edition – the Glen Scotia 9 Year Old Heavily Peated Ribera Del Duero Cask Finish. This year, the distillery delights with a 9-year-old single malt, matured in First-Fill Bourbon Casks and finished for 5 months in a Ribera Del Duero Red Wine Cask. The Ribera Del Duero wine region is located in northern Spain and is known for its extreme temperatures and powerful red wines.

The finish in the Spanish wine casks gives this year's Festival Edition from the famous Glen Scotia Distillery tropical aromas of red fruits and blackberries. A slight sweetness and notes of liquorice harmonise with Glen Scotia's maritime character and are overlaid with a pronounced peat smoke. The single malt was bottled at cask strength of 54.3% Vol., is non-chill filtered and comes in natural colour. The packaging of this limited edition appears strong and expressive in a berry-pink and invites you to celebrate together!

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Mediterranean peat smoke and sea salt, accompanied by creamy vanilla, red berries such as blackberries, ripe cherry and a hint of candy fruitiness.

Taste: Full-bodied, with smoky ash and coastal minerality. Then creamy caramel-vanilla mix, juicy currants, blood orange, dried cherry and a hint of jasmine, salted caramel and tobacco.

Finish: Long-lasting, with sweet fruit – plum and raisin – and elegant smokiness. Mineral notes, liquorice essence and a touch of lime zest complete the finish.
