The fourth edition of the coveted Causeway Collection from the Bushmills Distillery is an Irish Single Malt Whiskey of the highest class. Under the direction of Master Blender Alex Thomas, a whiskey was created that impresses with its exceptional maturation and complex aroma profile. With a maturation period of twelve years and a special finish in new, handcrafted American oak casks, this whiskey is a precious collector's item for lovers of Irish whiskey tradition.

The Causeway Collection is inspired by the "Giant's Causeway," a UNESCO World Heritage site on the North Antrim coast. The mystical basalt columns, approximately 60 million years old, are located only a few kilometers from the Bushmills Distillery and symbolize the connection between nature and craftsmanship.

Bushmills Distillery, founded in 1608, is one of the oldest and most renowned whiskey distilleries in the world. Under the direction of Master Blender Alex Thomas, exceptional whiskeys are constantly created here, combining tradition and innovation.

The whiskey initially matured for eleven years in Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks before receiving a special finish in new, handcrafted American oak casks. These casks give the whiskey an intensive range of aromas and a special depth.

Tasting Notes

Nose: An intense bouquet of ripe fruits, noble vanilla, and gentle woody spice. The nose is multi-layered and inviting.

Palate: On the palate, a harmonious balance of caramelized apples, orange zest, nougat, and coconut flakes unfolds. Fine notes of cinnamon and almonds round off the taste experience. The texture is soft, complex, and rich.

Finish: Long-lasting with a lingering taste of dark chocolate and candied peach. The finish is warm and leaves a lasting impression.
