The Bunnahabhain 18 Years Old is a matured premium single malt from the Scottish island of Islay and is considered one of the distillery's most elegant bottlings. Unlike many Islay whiskies, it is lightly peated, focusing instead on depth, fruitiness, and maritime elegance. At 46.3% ABV, non-chill filtered, and without coloring, this whisky showcases its natural and full-bodied character.
The whisky matured for over 18 years in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks. The long maturation period ensures a particularly harmonious blend of sweet, fruity, and spicy aromas, while the sherry casks provide additional depth and complexity.
Aroma: Rich notes of dried fruits, honey, caramel, nuts, dark chocolate, and fine oak.
Taste: Full-bodied and smooth with flavors of raisins, plums, toffee, spices, nuts, and a subtle maritime note.
