Bumbu The Original Rum (rum-based) is a tribute to the original recipe of 16th and 17th-century West Indian seafarers. Produced in a renowned distillery in Barbados, this rum is distilled from a blend of sugarcane from eight different countries.
It is aged in former American oak bourbon barrels, which give the rum its distinctive smoothness and depth. Storage in this special type of barrel promotes the integration of vanilla and caramel notes into the rum's complex flavor profile, making Bumbu a unique representative of its kind.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: The nose is treated to a rich and sweet bouquet of vanilla, caramel, and a hint of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.
Taste: On the palate, an exquisite sweetness unfolds, complemented by notes of ripe banana, vanilla, and a pinch of cinnamon, creating a wonderfully balanced sweetness.
Finish: The finish is smooth and long-lasting, with a subtle spiciness and a warm, sweet note inspired by the bourbon barrels, gently rounding off the enjoyment.
