The Bud Spencer Whisky from St. Kilian in Lower Franconia is dedicated to the actor Carlo Petersoli, also known as Bud Spencer.
This whisky, blessed with 46% vol. alcohol, was matured in Italian ex-Amarone red wine casks. Afterwards, the whisky distilled in copper pot stills was blended with triple-distilled Irish Whiskey from the Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk.
The result is a fruity whisky. On the nose, notes of creamy vanilla, sweet honey with creamy toffee, peach, cherries and raspberries become apparent. On the palate, the mild Bud Spencer delights with intense and warming notes of oak, toffee and fruit jam, along with more cherries and peach. In the medium-long finish, a spicy melange of red fruits, honey and a hint of oak comes to the fore.
The mild Bud Spencer Whisky is non-chill filtered and has no added coloring.
