The Bowmore 15 Years Sherry Oak Cask is a characterful Islay Single Malt from the traditional Bowmore Distillery. The distillery is one of the oldest on the island and is known for its balanced style, which combines gentle peat smoke with fruity and spicy cask notes. Bottled at 43% vol., this whisky shows a harmonious balance of smoke, sweetness and ripe fruitiness.
The Bowmore 15 Years first matured in American ex-bourbon casks before receiving its final maturation in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. This combination creates a blend of vanilla and malt sweetness with intense sherry notes and dark fruits.
Nose: Dark dried fruits, raisins, vanilla, caramel and subtle Islay peat smoke.
Taste: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of plums, dark chocolate, toffee, sherry sweetness and a light smokiness.
Finish: Long, warm and balanced with fruity sweetness, oak spice and gentle smoke.
