The Balblair Distillery was founded in 1790 in the northern Highlands near the town of Edderton and is the oldest active distillery in the region. Under the guidance of Distillery Manager John MacDonald, every drop of whisky is crafted with the utmost care. Balblair stands for uncompromising quality and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern creativity to create a unique Highland whisky.

The Balblair 15 Years initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks before receiving an aromatic finish in Spanish First Fill Oak Butts. This combination gives the whisky its characteristic depth and complexity, with aromas of dark chocolate, tropical fruits, and spices.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A scent of wood, leather, honey, and spicy gingerbread, fused with juicy notes of ripe plums and lemon zest. The nose is rich and complex.
