The Ardnahoe Cask Strength – Batch No. 2 is a powerful, limited bottling from the young Islay distillery Ardnahoe Distillery. This special edition celebrates the distillery's craftsmanship and showcases the region's style in its most intense form: straight from the cask, without chill filtration and unfiltered, bottled at a robust 61% vol. to allow the full spectrum of aromas and cask influence to be experienced.
Nose: Distinct maritime notes and salty sea breeze meet peat smoke, bonfire smoke, vanilla, and white pepper.
Taste: Full-bodied and powerful with strong smoke and wood notes, sweet malt, spices, and a slightly spicy oak structure.
Finish: Long, intense, and warming with pleasant peatiness, peppery spice, and salty depth.

Eine wunderbare Abfüllung von Ardnahoe. Wer Islay-Whisky mag, sollte hier zugreifen. Zumal es die letzte Abfüllung ist, die Stuart Laing vor seinem Tode persönlich kreiert hat. Nachdem ich ihn probiert habe, musste ich sofort zwei Flaschen nachbestellen.
