Ardnahoe rediscovers the classic Islay style, which is also reflected in the design - A New Islay Classic!
Distillery Manager Fraser Hughes created the first generation of Ardnahoe using traditional methods: softly peated Islay water is drawn from Loch Ardnahoe, while the distillery uses two traditional worm tubs - the only ones on Islay.
These were chosen to give the malt additional depth of flavor and complexity.
Tasting Notes:
Shortbread, baked apples, and Islay peat smoke on the nose. On the palate, vanilla custard, ginger, lemon zest, and baked apples lead to a long, smoky finish.
