The Akashi White Oak Single Malt from the Eigashima distillery matures for 3 years in ex-Bourbon casks and another 2 years in Spanish sherry casks. It is not chill-filtered.
The White Oak Distillery was founded in 1888 and was the first distillery in Japan to receive a distillation license for alcohol in 1919.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Floral notes and malt.
Taste: Sweet with vanilla, dark chocolate, and oak and an elegant sherry note.
Finish: Medium-long sweet finish with vanilla and oak notes.
