Aberlour 12 Years Unchillfiltered – Speyside Single Malt Scotch – 48% ABV – 0.7 L

The Aberlour 12 Years Unchillfiltered is a more intense version of the classic 12-year-old Aberlour from the Scottish Speyside. By forgoing chill filtration and with a higher bottling strength of 48% ABV, the whisky remains particularly aromatic and has a fuller texture. Aberlour Distillery is known for its traditionally sherry-forward single malts, which impress with rich fruit and spicy depth.

Maturation takes place using the double-cask method: the whisky is aged in both American ex-bourbon casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. While the bourbon casks contribute vanilla and soft sweetness, the sherry casks provide intense fruit notes, spices, and a deep aroma.

Aroma: Fruity and rich with red apples, raisins, honey, vanilla, and a delicate hint of spice.

Taste: Full-bodied and balanced with dried fruit, caramel, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and soft sherry sweetness.

Finish: Long and warm with spicy oak, sweet fruit, and gentle spice notes.
