The Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask is a typical whisky from the Scottish Speyside region. With its beautiful fruitiness and mildness, yet full of aromas, it flows in the mouth into an experience of dried fruit, toffee, honey, and a light peppery note.

With a slight smokiness and no trace of peat, it is long-lasting and rich in the finish. A multi-faceted and complex whisky at a fantastic price! This Single Malt is perfect for whisky beginners, but connoisseurs and experienced whisky lovers will also thoroughly enjoy it.

Aberlour 12 Year Old - Top-Class Double Cask Maturation

Speyside is the largest whisky region in Scotland, and to stand out there, only three things are possible: quality and innovation, a fair price, or pure fame. Aberlour combines all three of these characteristics and brings an impressive single malt to the market with the Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask. Aberlour Whisky is incredibly popular, especially in France. But why should only the French enjoy such a good palate tickler? Discover with the Aberlour 12 Year Old a Scotch that has been matured separately in traditional Bourbon oak casks and Oloroso sherry casks and only reunited shortly before bottling. The Aberlour Single Malt impresses with its great fruity mildness, its fine reminiscences of sherry and its beautiful toffee aromas. In the finish, a fine spiciness with a peppery note emerges, which perfectly completes the enjoyment of this Speyside whisky.

The Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask in the Glass

Tasting 1

Colour: Golden amber with a hint of ruby. Nose: Soft and rounded with fruity notes of red apple. Palate: A fine sherry character, fruity aromas, balanced with rich chocolate. Finish: Warm and long-lasting. Sweet and sharp. Tasting Notes from the Aberlour Distillery

Tasting 2

Colour: In the glass, this Aberlour truly shows the character of its two-wood maturation, which is its bright amber color. While not quite falling into the American whisky amber range, it's pretty coppery, similar to gold with a red tint. Nose: soft and malty territories, with a strong note of Starking apple (also known as Red Delicious). Palate: medium-bodied, balanced, straightforward and spicy. A nice dollop of earthy woodiness rounds out the sherry-driven, dark and red core of dried fruits. It's simple and delicious. Finish: rolls into a sweet-spicy note to deliver plenty of lingering warmth. Tasting Notes from whiskyreviewer.com

Tasting 3

Nose: very mild and soft with fruity notes. Palate: sweet hints of sherry paired with fruity aromas and toffee. Finish: long-lasting, slight smokiness. Tasting notes from Pernod Ricard
