The Aberfeldy 15 Years Red Wine Finish matured first in Bourbon casks before receiving a finish for approx. five months in French red wine casks from the Pomerol wine region in Bordeaux. The main grape variety in the Pomerol region is Merlot, with some red wines supplemented by Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot wines are quite fruity and sweet, while Cabernet Sauvignon is relatively tart and develops fruity aromas. Exactly which casks were used remains Aberfeldy's secret.

This is a special bottling with Batch No. 2919.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Notes of honey, cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, pear, green apple and a hint of mint.

Taste: Medium body, rather dry with tannins and oak but compensated by vanilla and its maltiness with a slight honey note, as well as notes of apricots, blueberries and green apple.

Finish: Spicy and malty finish that fades with fruits, slightly bitter tannins and charcoal.
