The Teeling Single Malt matured in a combination of 5 wine casks, including Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This alone is very unusual.

Additionally, it is said to contain whiskeys that have been maturing since 1991. And that is remarkable for a whiskey released without an age statement.

Tasting 1

Nose: Vibrant with notes of melon, fig, toffee, and lemon. Palate: Good balance of dried fruits, citrus, vanilla, spices, and clove. Finish: Long-lasting with a harmony of sweetness and dry tannins. Tasting Notes from Teeling

Tasting 2

Nose: Green grass, sweet and sour apples, pineapple, Kubes (a specific type of hard candy), and zesty lime peel. Additionally, vanilla extract and dried, mild fruits with some darker aromas. Palate: Pineapple candies, powdered sugar, lemon candies, and sponge cake with buttercream frosting, as well as Granny Smith apples for the right tartness and cloves for the right bitterness and spice.
