Tasting 1
Nose: Lemon peel and coal smoke with warming barley. Fresh from the malt house! Palate: Honeysuckle intertwines with liquorice, as well as citrus peel and a protective layer of dark peat. Finish: A lingering minerality, combined with green apples, fades into sooty smoke. Tasting Notes by Port Askaig
Tasting 2
Sweet and citrus-like peat with a big, soft, buttery sweetness, smooth and inviting, some fresh, grassy shore aromas and some vanilla dust. Palate: Much lighter than expected, but it becomes stronger with smoke and barbecue notes, creamy and relaxed. Very clean, with lemongrass and the sweet, light waxiness of lemon peel. Finish: Big smoky notes that gradually grow. Tasting Notes by tomswhiskyreviews.com
