In the west of the Highlands – Scotland's largest whisky-producing region – lies the distillery of Oban 14 Year Old whisky. The distillery is located in the centre of the town of the same name, which in turn is directly on the sea.

Robust whisky with gentle sweetness

The west of the Highlands is actually not a suitable area for distilleries. Due to unfavourable soil conditions and scarce coal and peat resources, the region is not particularly fertile. Nose: In addition to a rich sweetness of oranges, lemons and pears, the Oban 14 Year Old smells of sea salt and peaty smokiness.
Palate: The taste of autumn fruits, with dried figs standing out the most, spreads throughout the mouth. You will also quickly taste the honey-sweet spices. At the end, a smoky, malty dryness follows the sweet aroma.
