After various distillates have matured in oak barrels for between two and four years, they are blended several times using the Solera process. The resulting distillate with 47% vol. is seven years old. It is first diluted with demineralized water and then blended by the experts at Legendario with grape juice from raisins that have been macerated in alcohol. The exclusivity of the Cuban Legendario Elixir de Cuba is not bottled immediately, but is allowed to develop further through a maturation process of about one month. This is followed by filtering through activated charcoal and quartz sand, which gives the liqueur its delightful purity.
