Fettercairn Highland Single Malt 12 Years 40% vol. 0.7l

Fettercairn Distillery was founded in 1824 and is located at the foot of the Grampian Mountains in the Scottish Highlands. It is one of the traditional, but less well-known distilleries, and uses a special cooling technique during distillation: a copper ring with flowing water cools the neck of the still, which ensures a particularly pure, smooth new make spirit.

The Fettercairn 12 Years was fully matured in American ex-bourbon casks. This maturation brings out clear fruit aromas, mild spice, and a balanced character. Bottled at 40% vol., it is smooth and easily accessible – ideal for lovers of classic Highland malts.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Tropical fruits, vanilla, light oak and a hint of cinnamon.

• Palate: Fresh and fruity with notes of ripe banana, toffee, spices and malt.

• Finish: Medium length, soft and slightly spicy with a sweet aftertaste.
