The Bunnahabhain Toiteach a Dhà (Gaelic for "second smoke") is a smokier bottling from the Bunnahabhain Distillery, showcasing a different side of the distillery. While Bunnahabhain is usually known for mild, unpeated whiskies, this edition harmonizes powerful peat smoke with the typical maritime elegance and fruitiness. Bottled at 46.3% vol., non-chill filtered and natural color, this single malt offers an intense and balanced taste experience.
The whisky matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon casks and Sherry casks. The Bourbon casks provide vanilla, malty sweetness, and freshness, while the Sherry casks contribute dark fruits, spices, and additional depth. In conjunction with the peat smoke, a complex and multifaceted profile emerges.
Aroma: Smoky peat notes, sea salt, vanilla, citrus fruits, and a hint of spice.
