Bruichladdich, located on the Scottish island of Islay, stands for transparency, provenance, and artisanal quality. Unlike many other Islay distilleries, The Classic Laddie does not rely on smoke, but on an unpeated style that emphasizes the pure fruitiness of the distillate.
Made from 100% Scottish barley, this single malt is matured in first-fill Bourbon and wine casks. Each batch bottling is slightly different, as Bruichladdich deliberately avoids extensive homogenization. Bottled at a robust 50% vol., non-chill-filtered and uncolored, the Classic Laddie demonstrates how complex an unpeated Islay whisky can be.
